BOXING EXPLAINED

It may appear to be the most simplistic form of combat sport but it takes dedication to master the sweet science.

Boxing requires a rounded overall strategy for both attacking and defending. Attacking is pure punches. There’s the powerful, straight cross punch, the straight, quick jab punch, the semi-circular hook and the rising uppercut. These punches require precision, focus and a fearless tactical approach. Defending combines the protective high and low guards, as well as slipping, swaying, bobbing, weaving, parrying, blocking and clinching.
