Self defence is the protection of one’s person or property against an attempted injury by another.
The adult classes are taught by Amir Subasic our experienced ex-special forces commander and martial artist who holds multiple black belts and coaches world champion kick boxers as his day job.

SELF DEFENCE EXPLAINED

Self defence is only used as a result of a direct attack and to prevent an impending injury. A variety of protective techniques are used including combat conditioning – defence – stance – guard – strikes – throws -sweeps – locks – chokes – bars – tactic – mental toughness – mental readiness – physical readiness – soft weapons – hard weapons – breathing – flexibility – agility – restraint and so on.

Please arrive 10 min before to sign in & wear comfortable gym attire that doesn’t restrict mobility. Most training will be indoors & barefoot on matts but bring trainers as sometimes we go to the adjacent park. Hand towel may be beneficial as you will work up a sweat. Water & refreshment available to buy from reception.
